Registration

All scientific divers must be trained and certified before beginning underwater research.

Before being accepted into the scientific diver program, divers must first present the following certificates to the Diving Safety Officer:

• First aid
• CPR
• Oxygen
• Rescue diver
• Dive medical

Once accepted into the program, the following must be completed:

• Liability waiver
• Scientific diver consent
• Diver clearance form
• Scientific diving guide reading confirmation
• CAUS theory exam
• Swimming and diving skills evaluation
• Project proposal form
