Occupational hygiene
The Occupational Hygiene programs help in the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of workplace environmental health hazards. These hazards fall into the following categories:
- Chemical hazard – any chemical that can cause injury or illness
- Biological hazard – any biological organism that is infectious or pathological
- Physical hazard – any form of sound, heat, cold, or vibration that could result in an occupational injury or illness
The Occupational Hygiene programs include the following:
- Indoor Air Quality Program
- Respiratory Protection Program
- Hearing Conservation Program
- Smoke Free Program
